Accessibility Statement
Last updated: September 2026
I want my services and website to be as welcoming and accessible as reasonably possible. If you have a disability, mobility difficulty, medical condition, sensory impairment or another individual requirement, please contact me before booking so that we can discuss how I may be able to help.
Access to the Clinic
The Olive Clinic is located within a Grade II listed building. Because of the age and protected status of the building, some aspects of physical access are limited.
There is a side entrance without a step that may be suitable for wheelchair access. Please contact me before your appointment so I can explain the access arrangements and ensure the entrance is available.
Unfortunately, the clinic toilet is not currently wheelchair accessible. Some treatments require the client to transfer onto and lie on a treatment couch for a period of time. The couch and room layout may not be suitable for every person or every type of wheelchair. Where possible, I will consider reasonable adjustments, such as:
-
Allowing additional time for your appointment
-
Explaining information verbally or in writing
-
Adapting positioning or parts of a treatment where it remains safe to do so
-
Welcoming a carer, personal assistant or interpreter
-
Helping you use the step-free side entrance
-
Discussing whether an alternative treatment may be more suitable
Unfortunately, there may be occasions when a particular treatment cannot be provided safely because of access, positioning or medical requirements. If this happens, I will explain the reason honestly and discuss any suitable alternatives where possible.
Website Accessibility
I aim to make the website clear and easy to use, with readable text, straightforward language, descriptive headings and images that support the information provided.
If you find any part of the website difficult to access, read or understand, please contact me. I will be happy to provide the information in another reasonable format where possible.
Before visiting
The best way for me to support you is to understand your requirements before you arrive. Please get in touch before booking or attending the clinic so we can discuss:
-
Wheelchair or mobility access
-
Assistance entering the building
-
Treatment-couch requirements
-
Communication or sensory needs
-
Whether you will be accompanied by a carer or assistant
-
Any other adjustment that may make your visit easier
I cannot promise that every treatment or area of this historic building will be accessible to everyone, but I will always listen, treat you with respect and make reasonable adjustments wherever safely and practically possible.
